Quartz Skull

Yet another from the Houston Museum of Natural Science.   They are running an exhibit of gemstone carvings by Harold Van Pelt, who with his wife are gem photographers of some renown.  He started carving them from gemstones he had accumulated from their many travels on assignment.  There are some really marvelous works.  Definitely worth a visit if the exhibit comes to your area.
