What Lurks Below

 

The family went to Brazos Bend State Park this weekend.  I'd been wanting to go for awhile because it's close by and you could allegedly see alligators in the wild there.  Well, it's no longer alleged; it's verified.  And how!  We saw a couple dozen, including a whole bunch of baby gators with a very watchful mother nearby.  The gator in the photo was hanging out under a pier at one of the lakes.  You can't see it in the photo, but this gator had a fishing bobber hooked to it's mouth that followed him around like the floating barrels that cued the scary music in Jaws.
