Bent Notes

Still having fun trying to ape Dan Winters.  On this one, I did a bit of my own thing with the lighting.  The key light is a speedlight through a 24" softbox (with a 1/4 CTO gel) shining straight down from above but aimed in front of me so that the light grazes me and the amp but doesn't really hit the backdrop.  The backdrop is lit with another speedlight, this time through a grid and a dark green gel.  It's aimed from up high and camera-left so that it hits the wall behind the amp and gives a little spotlight effect. Once again there's a lot of post-processing on this including color toning, local contrast enhancement, and a few texture overlays.  I really love this look, even my hillbilly version of it.
